Norton Commander Moly coated and ready to ride.
We are pleased to offer for sale an excellent example of the Norton P53K Commander. This particular machine has a moly coated engine and has covered just over 43000 miles. It has had 3 previous owners. The V5c is present along with a large number of old MOTs dating back to 2008. There are also the overhaul notes detailing the work carried out in January 2012 by Richard Negus.
The bike will come with a full 12 months MOT.
The engine was last inspected at 32380 miles when the whole bike under went a complete overhaul. The end plate were reground, all springs replaced along with new apex seals. Main bearings were also replaced.
The carbs were overhauled, and a new digital ignition kit was supplied and fitted.
Gearbox was also stripped and reassembled with all its original parts, but new seals and O’Ring.
The frame and other running gear was stripped, and powder coated gloss black, and the wheels stove enameled.
Front forks were overhauled, with new seals and gaitors. All brake acalipers were overhauled, with a new stainless rear disc.
An aluminium petrol tank with a reserve tap which is operated via an illuminated switch on the instrument console alongside an uprated 220mm fan on the radiator to assist with cooling.
